I'm in the hospital. But I prefer the Blackadder version: hostipal. Or at least that's what Baldrick calls it :)
EDIT: See https://blackadderquotes.com/blackadder-series-4-episode-5-general-hospital-full-script and search for "Baldrick: Oh, no, I hate hostipals"
I thought my panic attacks were getting to me. It had been like 5 years since they were a problem. Well, there was that one time a month earlier that was kind of rough. Anyway, I got onto an ambulance thanks to my dad - I DID think it was weird that half my body responded differently to input - and went to the main hospital in Mölndal.
Then I went to Sahlgrenska Hospital by ambulance/transport since I didn't have crystal issues but a STROKE.
I was at Sahlgrenska first in a shared room where they frequently checked me and had constant heart monitoring. I don't remember much of that time.
Then I was in my own room at Sahlgrenska. Some 135/Medicinal/Stroke-ward. Not quite sure. (EDIT: ward 134 and it was a stroke-ward?)
Now I'm at Högsbo where they do neuro-rehab. Most people have spinal injuries which sucks for them. My stroke makes me walk sorta weird and my speech is slow, but I'm learning quickly. I had my stroke around 2023-05-20/2023-05-21 and I can walk and talk. Slowly, but surely. People with spinal injuries either can't walk or lack sensation in their limbs. If my stroke means I have to take two months in hostipal: I can do that.
I'm writing this with both hands on a BlueTooth keyboard with me blaming the keyboard for most errors. Not entirely sure it's not my left hand :)
As you can probably tell my mental faculties are still here. I set up a Vultr account and this is served by Nginx!
I've spent most of my time(beyond recovering from a stroke) on Amazon Web Services Organizations. I can log in to both accounts on AWS I had before. I'm watching Tintin and the lake of sharks(Tintin et le lac aux requins) from S3.
But I haven't figured out AWS Organizations yet.
Oh, smart phones suck! Or at least websites are heavily geared to non-smartphone-use. With a laptop I can probably own the world! I might have progressed to the point where I'm using a rollator only under duress thanks to my lack of laptop though :)
God Vim is good. hjkl instead of arrow-keys. I uninstalled termux and reinstalled it. BIG mistake. I'm using JuiceSSH now which works. I would like speech feedback but I'm not complaining. I guess that was more useful when I couldn't focus on this near me.
If one asks me to focus on nearby objects and either follow the object or move my head then I think it becomes obvious that my eyes behave oddly. Focusing nearby, then far away is also hard.
But I hope to be pretty well in a month or so. The last improvements I can probably do at home without guidance.
I'm almost certainly going to have to keep myself somewhat fit in future. Not sure it's going to prevent another stroke but IF if I have one it won't be because of me not moving enough.
My normal website is Deref
2023-06-14: I think I understand AWS Organisations better now. Not sure if IAM accounts CAN be imported to AWS Organisations...I should probably set ut a brand new account for it. Maybe with CloudFormation.
2023-06-17: Apparently we with Yubico security key are locked out of AWS. I'm supposed to fall back on my email address and phone number(I have both) but AWS never call my phone number.
The problem appears when I'm supposed to hold up my security key. Chrome and Firefox both say "No key registered for aws.amazon.com". Well I haven't registered any QR code with AWS but I have registered both my Black and my Blue key with AWS historically and logged in there yesterday!
2023-06-17: AHA! I've combined s3cmd/aws(cli), CX tools and ftpd to get files out of S3 and onto my phone. But I'm getting questioning 2FA on account of today. Hmm...
Anyway, here are some things on AWS that i'd like to test:
2023-06-17: DO might be be a good target for some backups as is Google Cloud. My Media-collection is probably just for one target. But some datasets could go to 2 or 3 s3 targets.
EDIT: Every entry marked 2023-06-17 should be 2023-06-18. I blame the staff who doesn't update the thing saying which date it is.
2023-06-21: I had an X-Ray today at Östra. Computer tomography to be precise. Had to drink lots of contrast fluids and laxatives monday and tuesday. Then more contrast fluids today and the actual X-Ray consist of not eating for 16 hours.
Hopefully that's it. I'm seriously tired of all this stuff.
My .vimrc that work with my BT keyboard:
imap jj <Esc>
imap § <
imap ½ >
Times I talked to a foreigner as if he was a taxi driver without him actually being a taxi driver: 1.
2023-06-28: I'm home. And it's glorious! I have to walk with a crutch but my room is not MY ROOM by happenstance but by design. My right leg hurt like crazy yesterday but I suppose my leg can only give the thumbs up or issue substantial pain. And standing for half on hour is in the pain region.
I'm still figuring out AWS Organisations. So far I've understood that IAM IS NOT IAM Identity Center. So my account from before is in IAM as it should but not in IAM Identity Center.
I finally made a Step Function. When S3 gets a change in a bucket it notifies Eventbridge which has a rule to run my Step Function which runs an Athena Query. I had to use AWS Glue to make Athena work though. Better look into that.
2023-07-02: Tomorrow is going to be the first day of Bräcke handling my recovery. Walks and trying to talk is all well and good but I think professionals have something to offer.
